"In Divenire" is a painting cycle composed of four abstract oil paintings on framed canvas, each 150x100 centimeters. What the author loves about abstract painting is the feeling experienced when looking at something that cannot be identified at first glance. The observer thus has the opportunity to find their own interpretation in another person's art, moving among the lines and colors that now take the form of a cloud, now of a fantastic landscape.

However, the subject hidden behind these works is not a random abstraction; rather, they constitute the pictorial reworking of fragments of wrinkles, the same ones that compose the fabric of skin now at the threshold of old age. The traces of the "clouds" and the color combinations are all inspired by the marks that time has left on the face of the author's mother, whose face was observed, photographed, and studied to restore the pride of a life lived to those signs that are usually hidden and camouflaged.

Now that the observer has been given the opportunity to orient themselves in the presented image, they are invited to reflect: Why are wrinkles, tangible testimony of a life lived, stigmatized today? How is it that women, increasingly engaged in breaking down taboos that concern them, still do not dare to display their appearance, naturally shaped by the passing of time?

"Skin" constitutes the research path that preceded "In Divenire." Over the course of a year of pictorial research, the author dedicated herself to experimentation with techniques ranging from plaster to embroidery, with the aim of best rendering the texture of skin, with its wrinkles, marks, and spots. The result is a collection of four portraits, all of the same woman, but with entirely different representations.
